I hold a Bachelor's degree in Drama & Theatre Arts from Goldsmiths University of London, and a Master's degree Arts Administration & Cultural Policy from the same institution. During my undergraduate years, I actively participated in student works and personal projects, taking on roles as a director, producer, and stage manager. I specialize in the creation and research of physical theatre and experimental theatre, with a strong commitment to advancing the practice and development of independent theatre production.

Xiaoya Zhao is a London-based sound artist working across experimental film, sound design, land art, installation, and photography. She grew up in China and later studied Music and Sound Recording at the University of York. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Design Audio Experience at University College London, a journey that merges technical expertise with conceptual exploration.
Drawing inspiration from the everyday, Xiaoya approaches her practice with a sensitivity to subtle details and spontaneous moments. She avoids assigning fixed concepts to her work, believing instead in letting objects and sounds speak for themselves: “In an autonomous state, things will flow.
